Digital Poster Roughs 1-4

I wanted to have the posters be fun and more hip since Watauga is moving to a bigger and better facility. I wanted to grab people's attention while still giving them volunteer information. People remember catch phrases and things that make them laugh. I stuck with the blue mostly because the administrator of Watauga Humane expressed to me that they would like to keep the blue theme that they have now.

  1. hey stacey,
I enjoy looking at your ideas, since i was originally thinking about dealing with an animal non profit organization. The one thing that I feel like I have to say about all the posters in general would be about only showing a dog or only showing a cat. I know the humane society has both dogs and cats, so that could possibly be misleading. I really like your color scheme you have, especially the blue. My favorite poster out of these four, would definitely be the last one. However, I know you can only do this one with cats, so then I would say the second or third one. Maybe you can still somehow manage to capture the style of the last one, which has more of a serious touch to it, although I also enjoy the playfulness of your other posters.

  2. The dog's face is wrapped in a leash. That is not appealing...

The idea of change a life or maybe 9 is pretty good, but it's kind of hard to read the change a life. Good concept. Just needs a lil work on the legibility.

  3. I really like the blues you are using in these posters, they really capture my attention! I also really like the idea of get and give some love.

  4. Ohmygosh more kittens and puppies...

I feel like for the blue one with the animal silhouettes you could do them both and just exchange the the animal.

And the kittens one... oh gosh... That's really precious with the nine lives thing.

But seriously. I really like what you're doing with the blue.

  5. 1-3 are great. The blue is a really nice color, it's not depressing and more energetic. I personally I don't like the hearts over the silhouettes but that's probably because I'm a guy and my client's logo had a heart rainbow in it (so I can't stand to look at them). The slogan for the first one is pretty funny, and immediately tells the viewer what you want to communicate in your poster.

  6. How can you say "give some love, get some love" in 3-4 different ways? for ex. "get back what you give"/ mutual companionship, etc. Then try out the different "statements" with different graphic treatments (wt visuals). These are good beginnings.
Just explore more conceptual directions first.
